The Puyallup Valley Gem & Mineral Club enjoys taking its members on field trips to local and some time out of state locations. Our field trip director, Dennis Batchelor, carefully selects the locations based on location accessibility, ease of access, and quality/quaintly of materials to be collected.
Members of the PVG&MC can find detailed information about each outing by clicking on the site location pictures below, attending the Club Business Meetings, or by looking in the Field Trip detail of each months Rock-E-Teer. If you have any questions, please contact Dennis by phone at (360) 870-8741 or by email at email@example.com.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ROCKHOUND CODE OF ETHICS BEFORE YOU ATTEND A FIELD TRIP. CLICK HERE FOR A LINK TO THE CODE.
If you are wanting to go rockhounding by yourself, please make sure you understand the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife regulations regarding mineral collection. You can click here (https://wdfw.wa.gov/publications/01729/) for a link to the Gold and Fish Pamphlet.
There are also State and Federal regulations regarding the collection of minerals. Please make sure you are educated about these regulations by reviewing them at the links below:
