Welcome to Puyallup Valley Gem & Mineral Club

 

The Puyallup Valley Gem & Mineral Club exists to foster, promote and develop the interest of its members in geology and the earth sciences, mineralogy, gemology and similar subjects.  We pursue these subjects as a hobby for social, recreational and educational purposes.  We desire to promote the harmonious association together of persons interested in these subjects and hold meeting and gatherings in their pursuit.

 

Become a Member

We invite you to become a member of our club and join us for shows, educational presentations, rockhounding adventures, and fellowship with fellow mineral enthusiasts. You are always welcome to visit our meetings.  Membership includes the following benefits:

  • Lending library
  • Access to rocks, hands-on equipment, and lapidary supplies
  • Field trips with experienced, knowledgeable, and helpful guides
  • Annual meetings, events, shows, and get-togethers
  • Lapidary classes with qualified instructors
  • Club newsletter, the Rock-A-Teer, monthly newsletter, either digital or printed

Club Meetings

Puyallup Valley Gem & Mineral Club meets twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month, at 7:30 PM. The location of the meetings are at the Fruitland Grange on the corner of 112th St E and 86th Ave in Puyallup, Washington (a couple blocks west of Costco).  Our first meeting of each month is for Club Business and the second meeting of each month is for education, programs and fellowship.

Club Community Activities

Puyallup Valley Gem and Mineral Club offers the following to our local communities:

  • Annual Club Show with vendors, displays, demonstrations, and activities for children
  • Display and presenters at the annual Washington State Fair in the hobby hall
